Tolmin cottage cheese has a solid consistency with visible lumps, distinct smell, and a pleasant, sourish taste. It is made of pasteurized, non-homogenized skim milk, to which lactic acid microorganisms and enzymes are added. The specialty of our sour cottage cheese production is that it is not pureed and that it is hand-packed in order to preserve its natural clumping. It contains at least 18% dry matter and up to 1.5% milk fat. It is a good basis for the preparation of cheese spreads or sour cakes.
Sour Tolmin cottage cheese is packed in 500 g and 1 kg PP containers.
