The story of a soldier from the Isonzo Front is one of the unique experiences of Slovenia – Slovenia Unique Experiences.

An exclusive guided half-day program will be held every Tuesday at 9:00 from 4 June 2019 onwards.

Sign-up at: 05 389 00 00 or info@kobariski-muzej.si. The price of the whole package is 100 € per person.

The program includes a tour of the Kobarid Museum, the open air museum at Kolovrat, and a visit to the Cheese-making Museum “Od planine do Planike”, including a cheesemakers snack.

The offer is prepared for small groups, where the guide guides visitors through the museum, the open-air museum, and remains of the war-shaped landscape. The narrative delicately informs what war is and why it should no longer occur.

At the same time, the guided tour informs about local cuisine. The tour ends at Mlekarna Planika, in the cheese-making museum »Od Planine do Planike«. Here, guests will learn about the heritage of mountain grazing and the development of cheese making, which is the basis of today’s dairy Mlekarna Planika.

“In the end, you will be served typical local dishes such as egg frika, cheese soup, kobariški štruklji. Through the cuisine, people will also get to know Mlekarna Planika, its way of work, and thus what helped the valley survive.”
